This is known as Dot Trick, where a dot/period/full-stop can be used to produce multiple Gmail addresses, where the website you subscribe to thinks these are separate email addresses, but in reality they all eventually refer to the same Gmail address. This Gmail trick allows you to create multiple subscriptions on a website with multiple email addresses, and still manage them in one mailbox. I’m happy to report that there is an absolutely neat trick with Gmail to avoid that extra hassle. The excitement at the beginning of that process would quickly wear off when you have to keep switching between accounts. Ever run into a situation where you needed multiple email addresses to subscribe to a particular website? Usually what one would do is create several different email addresses and sign up with each of them at a time.
